This bronze armour was found in a grave at Mycenae. It must have belonged to a nobleman. It would have been too expensive for an ordinary soldier to buy. The soldiers body would have been protected by the metal armour but it must have been very heavy and uncomfortable to wear. The helmet was made from leather and was covered in wild boars tusks. It had flaps at the side to protect the cheeks of the wearer.
